I received my Bachelor of Science from the University of California at Irvine. In 1999, I earned my General Dentistry Degree (DMD) from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine (BUGSDM). In 2001, I completed an additional two-year post-graduate training fellowship in Pediatric Dentistry with rotations at Franciscan Children’s Hospital for Children and Boston Medical Center. I then pursued an additional one-year advanced training fellowship with an emphasis in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, which led to a full-time clinical and academic faculty position at Boston University in 2002.
In 2005, I settled in North Andover with one of my mentors, Dr. William Bourassa. In 2007, Drs. Dehpanah, Gharib & Associates was established following Dr. Bourassa’s retirement. Due to continued patient loyalty, North Andover Pediatric and Family Dentistry was formed in 2015 to better reflect the patient population and scope of our services.
After 15+ years of being a full-time faculty member at Boston University (Go Terriers), in 2018, I stepped down from my position to be more involved in my community and growing private practice. In my office, unlike most pediatric dentists, I believe in a non-sedative approach and practices focusing on behavior management.
“My early exposure to the late Dean Spencer N. Frankl’s approach towards his patients crystalized the importance of human psychology and child development in a successful non-sedative treatment approach in a non-hospital setting.”
I am an active member of the American Dental Society, Massachusetts Dental Society, Massachusetts Associates of Pediatric Dentistry, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Merrimack Valley Dental Society.
I enjoy outdoor activities and spending every little time I get with my wife, son, and two energetic labradors, Rockie and Lexie.
